El 1974 es disputà la vuitena edició de la Copa d'Àfrica de Futbol a Egipte. Es mantingué el format de l'edició anterior. Zaire fou el campió, després de derrotar Zàmbia, per 2 a 0, al partit de desempat de la final.[1]
