María Gabriela de Jesús Isler Morales (Spanish pronunciation: [ɡaˈβɾjela isˈleɾ]) is a Venezuelan beauty pageant titleholder who won Miss Universe 2013, she was previously crowned Miss Venezuela 2012 and is the seventh Miss Universe of her country.
Isler is the founder of Universe of Blessings Fund, a charity organization that helps to educate adolescents in Venezuela.
Early and personal life
Isler was born in the city of Valencia, Venezuela, to a Venezuelan mother and a father of Swiss and German descent.[1][2] Isler grew up in Maracay and holds Swiss citizenship by descent; her paternal grandfather was from Lausanne.[3] She holds a BA in management and marketing from Universidad Tecnológica del Centro. At age 14, she started modeling as a way to cheer her mother and grandmother up after her aunt died.[4]

Pageantry
Miss Venezuela 2012
Isler, who stands 5 ft 10 in (1.78 m),[6] competed as Miss Guárico, one of 24 finalists in Miss Venezuela 2012, on August 30, 2012 in Caracas, winning the Miss Elegance award, and became the ninth Miss Venezuela winner from Guárico. As the winner, she went on to represent Venezuela at Miss Universe 2013.[citation needed]
Miss Universe 2013
Isler represented Venezuela at Miss Universe 2013, held on November 9 in Moscow, Russia. She was crowned Miss Universe 2013 by outgoing titleholder Olivia Culpo of the United States. On January 25, 2015, Isler passed her title to Paulina Vega, Miss Colombia 2014 at the 63rd Miss Universe Pageant at FIU Arena, Miami, Florida.[citation needed]
