Manganez is a village in the Ardeşen District, Rize Province, in Black Sea Region of Turkey.[1] Its population is 133 (2021).[2]

History

According to list of villages in Laz language book (2009), name of the village is Noghaceni, which means "pig village". Most villagers are ethnically Laz.[3]

Geography

The village is located 18 kilometres (11 mi) away from Ardeşen.
