Middlebury, Ohio

Unincorporated community in Ohio, U.S.

Middlebury is an unincorporated community in Van Wert County, in the U.S. state of Ohio.[1]

History

Middlebury was originally called Daisie, and under the latter name was founded in 1850.[2] A post office called Dasie was established in 1881, and remained in operation until 1904.[3] The present name of Middlebury is descriptive for the community's relatively central location between Van Wert and Decatur.[4]
