Detection Club

Detection Club didirikan pada 1930 oleh sekelompok penulis misteri Inggris, yang terdiri dari Agatha Christie, Dorothy L. Sayers, Ronald Knox, Freeman Wills Crofts, Arthur Morrison, Hugh Walpole, John Rhode, Jessie Rickard, Baroness Emma Orczy, R. Austin Freeman, G. D. H. Cole, Margaret Cole, E. C. Bentley, Henry Wade, dan H. C. Bailey. Anthony Berkeley adalah tokoh penting dalam pembentukan klub tersebut, dan presiden pertamanya adalah G. K. Chesterton. Terdapat sebuah ritual inisiasi penggemar dengan sebuah sumpah yang diyakini ditulis oleh Chesterton atau Sayers, dan klub tersebut giat mengadakan perjamuan makan malam di London.
