Larry Jeff McMurtry (lahir 3 Juni 1936) adalah seorang novelis, esayis, penjual buku dan penulis naskah asal Amerika Serikat yang karyanya utamanya berlatar Old West atau Texas kontemporer.^[1] Novel-novelnya meliputi Horseman, Pass By (1962), The Last Picture Show (1966), dan Terms of Endearment (1975), yang diadaptasi ke film-film yang meraih 26 nominasi Academy Award (10 kemenangan).
