Thespiai
Thespiai (bahasa Yunani: Θεσπιαί, Thespiaí) adalah kota (polis) Yunani kuno di Boiotia. Kota ini dikelilingi oleh perbukitan yang terbentang ke timur mulai dari kaki Gunung Helion hingga Thebes, dekat Thespies modern. Dalam sejarah Yunani kuno, Thespiai adalah salah satu kota dalam liga federal yang dikenal sebagai Liga Boiotia. Beberapa tradisi menyebutkan bahwa orang Boiotia adalah orang-orang yang terusir dari Thessalia seusai Perang Troya, dan mengkolonisasi dataran Boiotia selama beberapa generasi, hingga terbentuklah kota Thespiai.[1] Tradisi lain menyebutkan bahwa mereka berasal dari Mykenai.
