Pedi (folk)
Pedi (eller baPedi eller Bapedi) er et bantufolk i Sør-Afrika. De utgjør også et delfolk av sothoene.
De fleste bapedi bor helt nord i Sør-Afrika i provinsen Limpopo. Deres språk er nord-sotho, som gjerne kalles ved navnet sepedi eller forenklet pedi. Dette er ett av de elleve offisielle embedsspråk i Sør-Afrika.
De to mest kjente av bapedienes herskere på 1800-tallet var kongene Sekwati og hans sønn Sekhukhune. Etter en rekke fotgjeves forsøk klarte britene og boerne å beseire Sekhukhune i 1879, og bringe bapediene til undekastelse og gjennomdrive sine ønskede koloniale planer og vinne nytt bosettingsland.
