オリアーナ・ファラーチ（Oriana Fallaci、1929年6月29日 - 2006年9月15日）は、イタリアのジャーナリスト、作家および政治インタビュアー。

生涯

イタリア王国フィレンツェに生まれる。第二次世界大戦中に反ファシズム活動を行った。

1946年、新聞『Il mattino dell'Italia centrale』の特派員となり、10代からジャーナリストとして活動した^[1]。1967年初め、従軍記者としてベトナム戦争を取材。また、印パ戦争にも赴いた。

フェルッチオ・デ・ボルトリ（コリエーレ・デラ・セラ紙の元編集長）は彼女を「我々の最も有名な女性作家」と呼んだ。ロサンゼルス・タイムズ紙は彼女を「事実上世界の誰もが否定しないジャーナリスト」と評した。

若い頃に彼女は多くの国際的指導者や有名人にインタビューを行った。彼女がインタビューした人物はヘンリー・キッシンジャー、モハンマド・レザー・パフラヴィー、ルーホッラー・ホメイニー、レフ・ヴァウェンサ、ヴィリー・ブラント、ズルフィカール・アリー・ブットー、ウォルター・クロンカイト、ムアンマル・アル＝カッザーフィー、フェデリコ・フェリーニ、サミー・デイヴィスJr.、鄧小平、グエン・カオ・キ、ヤーセル・アラファート、インディラ・ガンディー、アレクサンドロス・パナグリス、ヴェルナー・フォン・ブラウン、マカリオス3世、ゴルダ・メイア、グエン・バン・チュー、ハイレ・セラシエ1世、ショーン・コネリーが含まれる。

彼女はホメイニ師へのインタビューの後に『Ayatollah』のタイトルで本を出版したが、同書はイランでは発禁処分となった。

彼女は晩年をニューヨークで過ごした。肺ガンとの闘病生活は『the Other One』で語られた。彼女はその死の前日、2006年9月14日にイタリアに帰国し、生まれ故郷のフィレンツェの病院で9月15日の夜に死去した。
